Welcome to Websites for Life. By purchasing any of our services, you agree to the terms outlined below. These terms are designed to clarify what’s included, what’s not, and how we protect both you and ourselves.

1. Lifetime Website Access

When you purchase a one-time website package from Websites for Life, you receive a website license for life — meaning for the lifetime of the platform we use to build and host your website, or the lifetime of our business operations, whichever comes first.

We define “lifetime” as:

• The continued operation of Websites for Life as a business entity, and
• The continued availability of the third-party web platform we use to build and host your site.

In the unlikely event that the platform becomes unavailable or shuts down, we will provide:

• Reasonable notice (if possible),
• Assistance in exporting your content or migrating to a new platform (additional fees may apply),
• No ongoing guarantee of hosting beyond that point.

This policy is modeled after industry standards for lifetime software and platform deals (e.g., AppSumo, Adobe Lifetime tools).

2. Domain Ownership and Costs
Your website does not include a domain name. You are responsible for:

• Purchasing and renewing your domain name from a domain registrar (such as GoDaddy, Name.com, etc.),
• Managing your domain subscription payments (this is a separate, recurring cost),
• Providing login access if you would like us to assist in connecting your domain.

We do not take ownership of your domain. You retain full ownership and control.

3. What’s Included

Your lifetime website package includes:

• Design and setup of your selected number of pages (per your chosen package),
• Mobile-responsive layout,
• Basic SEO setup (titles and meta),
• Connection to your domain (with access provided),
• 30 days of post-launch support for edits, questions, and fixes

4. What’s Not Included

The following are not included in your one-time website purchase unless otherwise noted or purchased as an add-on:

• Ongoing hosting if the platform discontinues service
• Domain name and renewal costs
• Third-party apps, tools, or integrations with recurring fees
• Unlimited future edits or redesigns (unless you have a monthly support plan)

5. Ongoing Support & Update Requests
After the initial 30-day post-launch window, any edits, updates, or changes can be requested:

• On a pay-as-you-go basis (flat-fee pricing),
• Or through a monthly support plan (optional).

We reserve the right to revise pricing and support terms at any time, though you will always be notified of any changes that affect you.

6. Refunds and Cancellations

Due to the digital nature of our service and the labor involved in custom builds, we do not offer refunds once work has started. If you cancel before we begin, you may be eligible for a partial refund of your deposit (minus admin fees).

7. Intellectual Property

You own all text, images, and logos that you provide. We retain rights to reuse non-proprietary templates and layout components unless a custom arrangement is agreed upon.

We reserve the right to showcase your website in our portfolio unless you request otherwise in writing.

8. Limitation of Liability
While we strive to maintain high service quality, Websites for Life is not liable for:

• Interruptions in service caused by third-party platforms or domain providers,
• Technical limitations of web hosting platforms we use,
• Losses related to business performance or SEO ranking,
• User error, content inaccuracies, or delayed client responses.

Our maximum liability under any circumstances is limited to the original amount paid for your website package.
